Rusal visits Asian Metal

On the afternoon of February 15, 2022, Mr. Futerman Mark, the Purchase Manager of Beijing Rusal Trade Co., Ltd., visited Asian Metal and was warmly greeted by Ms. Daphne Zhang, the Consultant & Senior Product Manager for Magnesium Industry of Asian Metal.

After having a deep understanding of the database service and information collection methods of Asia Metal, Mr. Futerman Mark disclosed that Rusal adjusted its procurement frequency and shortened the payment term to guarantee stable supply after experiencing a large fluctuations in magnesium ingot market in 2021. The company now holds magnesium ingot stocks for consumption till late April. Taking uncertain equipment upgrading policies for semi coke in Shaanxi into consideration, Mr. Futerman Mark thinks that the mainstream prices for magnesium ingot would keep fluctuating and he prefers to purchase steadily according to his consumption volume.

As one of the largest aluminum plants in the world, Rusal’s annual consumption volume for magnesium ingot reaches around 8,000-10,000t.
